Can use really lightly on beginners but should be worked up to. Leaves hearts only when used with a lot of force. Great quality for the price and feels really great.

This paddle is really pretty and gives a wide-impact compared to hands, so it's a bit less intense. As other reviewers have remarked, the hearts don't necessarily leave a mark easily. Still very fun to play with.
