This is my first glass piece and I think for a piece of glass it is impressive! Not only easy to handle and clean, the glass is smooth and feels like it is made of good quality. I survived a 1-2 foot drop onto somewhat carpeted floor and was ok. The case that it came with is pretty thoughtful and it actually blends well with the piece itself. The bumps are surprisingly noticeable and the handle is actually really functional based on which way it is rotated for your hand/fingers! One interesting thing to note about the case is it comes with a small piece of bubble-wrap or something in it, and you should leave that in! It makes the fit nice and snug on mine but if it were taken out I do not think the case would work very well as it would rattle. Also, considering any partners, my S.O. thought it was beautiful itself, but was moreso happy about the good "view" it offered while it was in use - especially the tapered bits. ;)
